The Republic of Namibia
(Afrikaans: Republiek van Namibië; German: Republik Namibia)
is a country in southern Africa.
It shares land borders with
Angola,
Botswana,
South Africa,
Zambia, and
Zimbabwe,
as well as having a coastline on the Atlantic Ocean.
As of 2009,
the population of Namibia was estimated as being
2,108,665.
The country's capital and largest city is Windhoek (German: Windhuk), which
has an estimated population of 233,529.
