Qatar Travel Information
The State of Qatar is a country in the Middle East.
It is located on the Qatar Peninsula which extends northwards
from the Arabian Peninsula into the Persian Gulf.
It shares its only land border with Saudi Arabia,
but a causeway is planned that will eventually also link Qatar to the nearby
island country of Bahrain.
As of 2009, the population of Qatar was estimated as being 1,409,000 The country's capital and largest city is Doha which, as of 2008, had a population of 998,651.
